Hot Doug is Hot!

DSC00716

What is the best hotdog you’ve ever had? (Chicago) – Hot Doug’s has been featured in many shows in Food Network and Travel channel.  Many Chicago residents are raving about this place.  I even heard it from a foreign seatmate in one of my flights. In spite of popularity of this hot-dog place, I have never [...]

Xoco is Hot!

(Chicago) – Celebrity chef, Rick Bayless’ quick service spot, Xoco, in downtown Chicago is a must try. The tortas (sandwiches), caldos (soups) and hot chocolate are delicious and reasonably-priced. Expect a line when you come here but the service is fast enough as advertised. I love the sparkling filtered water.

How often? Hmmm… My estimate is around 1 or 2 weeks every month. [...]

There are at least 5 Swedish restaurants in my area alone and all of these places specialize in breakfast/brunch. A few of these places serve food that is just fine; nothing special but edible enough; and [...]

Eating Las Vegas

IMG_2003_bn

(Las Vegas) – Gambling, Entertainment, Drinking, Fun, and the Food….oh the Food!!  That’s what I’d always heard about Las Vegas.  In actuality, my experience was a mixed bag when it came to the restaurants.  Greatness exists, but some places disappoint.

No Reservations (2007)

(Chicago) – Food can be addictive; some people find comfort in eating in great quantity and others get obsessed in perfecting their craft in making food. Too much of anything can cause serious problems. However, food can be your salvation as well.
